we Like Sheep

Scientists have created the world’s first human-sheep chimera – which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs.
The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells – and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs being transplanted into humans one step closer.
Professor Esmail Zanjani, of the University of Nevada, has spent seven years and £5million perfecting the technique, which involves injecting adult human cells into a sheep’s foetus.

R2 honored by USPS

WASHINGTON – Thirty years ago, in theaters near and far, far away, a movie opened the imaginations of millions, combining the magic of mythology and special effects to launch the “Star Wars†phenomenon.
A star of these films  the brave little droid R2-D2  is about to take a turn collecting mail as the Postal Service and Lucasfilm Ltd. commemorate the launch of the first “Star Wars†movie.
The post office is wrapping mail collection boxes in some 200 cities nationwide in a special covering to look like R2-D2.

Surveillance
I created the short below as part of a multimedia installation for a gallery at my office. It is a brief meditation on public video surveillance using footage i took from out of my office window in downtown Minneapolis. The audio i mixed from various podcasts available on the Web.
Bradley Bergey
Bergey and Ton just announced their plans to marry this summer! Congratulations, you two!
Soon after the wedding, they’ll be moving to Barcelona where Bergey has accepted a teaching position.
We’re currently in the process of adding the most recent work to his website which was built by yours truly.

How to interview the whole world
The Washington Post is trying a novel idea to increase circulation: interviewing all of us so we can “get to know each other better”
Duh – if we all feel included, then, we’ll buy more subscriptions, right?
Time will tell…
Meanwhile, an interesting idea from other perspectives. Not to mention, the site is well done, the video is delivered tastefully and with high production values.
